Appointments

The practice is open:

Phone lines are open Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm

Surgery is open Monday to Friday 08.30am to 6.00pm

Please note the surgery is closed on a Wednesday lunchtime 12.00pm – 2.00pm for staff training.

If you have an emergency outside of surgery hours, please ring NHS 111 for urgent advice or 999 if your symptoms are life threatening.

For each doctor we offer:

  • Face to face appointments
  • Telephone appointments

Please note that for telephone appointments we aim to ring patients back once morning surgery is over. If you cannot attend your appointment for any reason, please phone the surgery on 01642 607248 to cancel.

Urgent Appointments

To book and urgent appointment please call the surgery on 01642 607248. If there are no routine appointments available, but you feel that your problem is urgent, please tell the receptionist.

Patients with urgent problems will be seen on the same day by the nominated duty doctor who will deal with any urgent problems or queries. It is helpful if you can provide as much detail as you can for the duty doctor to review before your appointment.

Routine Appointments

Patients can book routine face to face appointments up to 2 weeks in advance. You can use our direct booking tool  SystmOnline or the NHS App or you can call the practice on 01642 607248.

Please note if patients choose to call the surgery for a routine appointment you may be offered an appointment the same day.

If you have a non-urgent problem or you don’t need to be seen face to face, you can submit an request for an appointment online. A member of the team will review your request and direct the problem to the correct team. Please allow 48hrs for our team to review your request.

If you have booked your appointment online patients can cancel their own appointments via the same booking tool. Appointment reminder texts will also be sent to patients through which you will be able to cancel your appointment should you need to do so.

To change appointments, you will have to contact the surgery on 01642 607248 or re book online via SystmOnline  or the  NHS App.

Home Visits

If you are too ill to come to the surgery, you can ask for a home visit by telephoning 01642 607248 before 10.30am. Visits requested will be passed to the duty doctor and should be of an urgent nature only.

Need to see a GP outside your normal surgery hours?

If you require medical help or advice when the surgery is closed, please ring 111. You may be asked to attend the Primary Care Centre in the University Hospital of North Tees side or at a different GP surgery.

Extended Hours Appointments

There are appointments available on weekends and evenings for all patients in Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees.

Booking Appointments Online

The easiest way to book your appointments online is to register with the NHS App. The app allows you to book appointments, order your repeat prescription, book child vaccinations and access lots of different health and care websites and apps with one set of login details. For more information click here.

Patients can also sign up for our direct booking tool SystmOnline . You can book appointments and order prescriptions however you must obtain a username and password from reception first.

If you want access to online services, please talk to reception, or download and complete the form below and hand it in at reception with two forms of ID. We will then issue you with a password and instructions on how to access the service. This will enable you to order prescriptions, make appointments and access your medical records.

Anxiety, Depression, Stress and other mental health concerns

Community Pharmacy Referrals

We are working with Community Pharmacies to improve access for patients to GP appointments. The aim is to direct patients to the most appropriate healthcare professional, which may be a GP or a pharmacist.

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms below, please contact the surgery on 01642 607248 our reception staff will book you a consultation with the pharmacist instead of the GP and you will be given a same-day referral to a pharmacy of your choice. To find your nearest pharmacy click here
